PUMA Suede x JAWICZ Black-Silver Glitter-White

The PUMA Suede × JAWICZ is a collaboration between PUMA and JAWICZ, the Polish visual artist and designer known for decorative surface treatments and a maximalist approach to material storytelling. The collaboration applies JAWICZ’s artistic sensibility to the PUMA Suede’s iconic low-top silhouette, reinterpreting a heritage sporting shoe through the lens of contemporary art and craft.

The Black base provides the colourway’s chromatic foundation — a full black upper that absorbs light, anchors the silhouette, and gives the shoe a graphic, stage-ready presence. On the Suede’s napped surface, black deepens in tone depending on the direction of the pile, creating a quiet textural contrast that keeps the base visually active even before the Glitter element is introduced.

Silver Glitter is the collaboration’s signature material intervention — almost certainly applied to the Formstrip or as a surface overlay on part of the upper. Against the full black base, silver glitter is a high-contrast, high-impact choice: the metallic particles catch and redirect light in multiple directions simultaneously, creating a dynamic, performative surface that shifts in appearance as the shoe moves. Silver glitter in this context reads as JAWICZ’s primary authorial mark — a decorative material decision that takes the Suede out of its sporting or heritage context and places it firmly within an art-driven, occasion-ready register. The effect is bold, unapologetic, and distinctly limited-edition in character.

The White accent — likely on the midsole, laces, and/or branding details — provides the colourway’s clean resolution. Against the black upper and silver glitter, white introduces a neutral contrast that prevents the colourway from becoming monochromatic or heavy, and grounds the shoe’s finish at the sole plane.
