PUMA Suede x Nahmias Off-White-Burgundy-Gum Sole

The PUMA Suede × Nahmias Off-White-Burgundy is the second colourway expression of the collaboration between PUMA and Nahmias, the Los Angeles label founded by Rhuigi Villaseñor. Where the Dark Grey colourway operates in a muted, desaturated register, the Off-White-Burgundy colourway introduces strong contrast and a warmer, more historically referenced palette — connecting the collaboration to the wine country, aged leather, and old-world craft traditions that run through Nahmias’s design vocabulary.

Off-white is the dominant upper colour — a warm, slightly creamy tone rather than a stark or optical white. On the Suede’s napped surface, off-white carries the same directional variation characteristic of all suede colourways: the pile shifts between a slightly warmer face and a cooler, more shadowed depth, giving the upper a soft textural quality. Off-white as a dominant colour on the Suede’s heritage silhouette positions this shoe at the clean, light end of the warm-tone spectrum — the colourway’s base reads as open and fresh before the burgundy contrast element introduces depth and richness.

Burgundy appears as the secondary colour, most likely on the Formstrip, heel branding, and/or midsole trim. In the context of the Suede silhouette, burgundy is a historically resonant choice: it references wine, aged leather, and the deeper chromatic register of pre-synthetic dye traditions. Against off-white, burgundy creates a high-contrast pairing that reads as bold and intentional — more visually assertive than the Dark Grey colourway’s quiet contrast, while still remaining within the restrained, premium palette language of the Nahmias collaboration. Burgundy in the Nahmias context also connects to the label’s Southern California interpretation of old-world luxury — the warmth and depth of the colour carrying associations of vineyards, heritage textiles, and craft materials.

The gum sole resolves the colourway at the ground plane with a translucent amber-brown rubber outsole that reinforces the warm material narrative shared by off-white and burgundy. The gum sole’s amber tone echoes the aged, natural-material sensibility of the overall colourway and adds a third warm element that unifies the shoe from upper to outsole.
